5 Office Cleaning Tips to Welcome the Chinese New Year

5 Office Cleaning Tips to Welcome the Chinese New Year

Preparations for the Chinese New Year are not limited to personal and home spaces. Preparing your office for the New Year is also a must because, after all, we spend most of our day there, 5-6 days a week.

Luck, Fortune, Chi, Yang or energies course through around us, not just our homes but also in buildings and offices. It is just right that we also make necessary arrangements to ensure harmony and prosperity ensues the office all year round.

Need something cleaned?

Here are a few tips that can help you, whether you own the office or just an employee:

DECLUTTER

It’s hard to keep track of the things you need and don’t need on a daily basis because of work schedule. Take the time before Chinese New Year to throw or give away the stuff you don’t need anymore so that luck and fortune will have a space to flow through (or stay) in the New Year. Throw away broken or unused items, especially electronic items. This applies not just on your work table, but at the main entrance as well.

(Hey, we can help you with sorting out stuff in your office or even at home! We have a reliable Premium Assistant service. )

LET THE SUNSHINE IN

Natural light is more energizing than light bulbs, and most of all, it’s free! You need all the people in your office to be full of energy to get things done and on time. If this not possible, make sure your office is well lit. Switch to LED bulbs get the most illumination and best energy efficiency. If your office have upgraded to LED lights already but still seem gloomy, you might need a detailed office cleaning which ensures your light bulbs are rid of dusts and cobwebs.

RE-ALIGN WITH THE STARS

If you’re a business owner, or an employee with the liberty of rearranging furniture in the office, re-position the desk to create harmony among you and your colleagues.

If you are the owner, president, or a manager, place your table at the “Command position” – back end of the office facing the others or facing the door. This way, you will have a view of who is present, who is working, or simply, you wouldn’t be surprised about anything good or bad.

If you are an employee, do not sit or set your table back-to-back or face-to-face. It brings disharmony. If this is inevitable, place a divider or a potted plant between the two of you.

REJUVENATE WITH COLOR

No matter how good the pay is or the benefits are, there are some people who tend to idle, or is unsuccessful in their career, or simply inclined to to be lazy in the office, and it might be due to the colors surrounding them. The walls or furniture might be sending the wrong energy or signals to them. A fading white wall, a worn out red office chair, a faded brown carpet or a dull green sofa doesn’t quite portray the image of harmony and fortune. As simple as repainting your walls to light green will enhance creativity in the office or perhaps orange to give motivation. Switching to blue office chairs inspires success and loyalty. Perhaps a carpet shampoo or sofa shampoo will bring back the luster and hue of the already auspicious colors in your office.

GO NATURAL

There’s a modern Chinese proverb that goes “When you use plastic for Feng Shui, you get plastic results”. If you are going to use plants as indoor ornaments, as dividers, or for blocking “Poison Arrows”, use natural plants as much as possible. Place a water fountain at the entrance instead of using a Bluetooth speaker to emanate sound of water, or buy actual fish to place in fish tanks instead of plastic ones. Aside from bringing luck and fortune, they also help filter the air inside the room.

May the coming Chinese New Year bring you good health and fortune! Welcome the New Year with a smile and stress-free.

What does it take to do a post construction cleaning?

More than the tools, solutions and equipment that one can bring to a post construction clean up, the skills of the cleaners are the top requirement. Post construction cleaning is not your ordinary run in the mill household clean up because you will have to be extra detailed when cleaning a space that has construction debris. Not to mention dusts that have long settled in the nooks and crannies of the space need to be removed and cleaned. Of course during post construction cleaning you will have to deal with paint smudges, grimy and oily hand prints from the workers, etc.

How long will it take to have a post construction clean up?

It depends on several factors like the size of the area, degree of work needed, is the space already furnished or semi furnished. It could either take 4-12 hours.

Increase Your Condo’s Rental Value or Market Value

Increase Your Condo’s Rental Value or Market Value

Are you a real estate agent or do you lease your own properties?

Here’s some good tips for you to increase your properties’ rental value or market value:

  1. Inspect every inch of it

You can’t fix it if you don’t know it’s broken so look at every inch of your property and take note of things that need fixing. It has to be flawless as much as possible because a single flaw means less on its value. We are not even talking about the decoration but the “inside” of your property like termite infestation, deteriorating built-in furniture or shelving, and especially to areas that are hidden because buyers often look at those areas and if they find something not good, it will definitely pull your value down.

2. Time to look at the interiors

You may hire a pro to help you with the design but if you want to save on some money on professional fees, you can arm yourself with knowledge through research and Pinterest! Professional help though is what I will recommend because you the reputation of the pro will increase the value even more.

Also, it’s all about the paint! Be sure to pick colors that are relaxing and conducive to resting. Your professional designer should be able to help you with this one too.

And put fresh flowers on simple vases to really light up the place and exude a good vibe; we all want that, don’t we?

3. Keep it clean, fresh and smelling good

Easy to do, you think? Remember buyers can be very picky with properties that they buy and cleanliness is on top of the list of things to consider. We understand this and to help our clients who want to rent or sell their properties, we issue a certificate of cleanliness to those who avail of our services for a one time full on cleaning. This certificate is then displayed on the property to let the buyers know that it has been cleaned and sanitized by professionals.

Coming Home to a Clean and Organized House After a Vacation

Coming Home to a Clean and Organized House After a Vacation

Is this even possible?

Coming home to a clean and organized home after a much deserved vacation?

It’s like stretching that relaxation back home!

My dear… it is certainly possible! I’ll tell you how you can do that.

I know you must be super busy days before your planned vacation. Either at work or at home with trips in the mall for errands and buying stuff you need in your getaway. What you can do is to hire a professional or skilled cleaner to do the cleaning for you.

Cleaning doesn’t have to be a burden anymore. It’s a need that you can always delegate to a reliable cleaning personnel. You have a lot of options to choose from. Hire a cleaning personnel and pay by the hour while you provide the cleaning materials and solutions. Or just get the hassle free all in package where a team of cleaners come to your home armed with all the materials, equipment and solutions needed to make your home spic and span.

Need something cleaned?

Some would say, why do I need to pay for someone to clean my house when I can do it myself?

Well, my good friend… you are not only paying for the skill of the cleaners but your time as well. You can certainly use your time to a more pressing matter than cleaning. Your time is worth more than what you paid for in any cleaning company.

Just a reminder… hire from a service provider that employs cleaners that are trustworthy and of course skilled. There are plenty of providers who offer work to just anyone and you wouldn’t want to let just anyone enter your home.

Cleaning Post Construction and Post Renovation of Homes and Offices

For it to be truly beautiful and perfect, it must also be clean and healthy to live in. With all the construction dust and debris settling in, you are sure into a hard day’s worth of cleaning. But you don’t need to worry because there are ways to have it cleaned and prepared before “the big day”.

Need something cleaned?

condo-cleaningBefore you have the new furniture moved in, wear your rubber gloves and face mask and get ready to get dirty as we make the cleaning step by step:

  1. Collect all construction debris, large and small. This will be the bulk of the dirt. Sweep or vacuum the entire floor to get rid of uncollected nails, wood splinters and cement powders. Open all the cabinets and drawers so you could see the bigger picture. If you move in with your furniture, these dusts and debris will stick to your new stuff and would make the cleaning process longer.
  2. De-dust or wipe/mop the ceilings and walls first. Start wiping counter tops, cabinets and closets. This will scatter a little dust on the floor, but we will get back to that later.
  3. Wipe the windows and window sill.
  4. Sweep or vacuum the floor for the last time and then mop the floors with diluted liquid disinfectant.
  5. Lastly, clean the toilet. Make sure the grout (white cement in between tile) are dry before scrubbing any part of your toilet.

Here’s a checklist to help ensure that every part of your newly constructed/renovated home or office is clean up to the last inch:

Why Do Expats in Manila Outsource their Condo and Office Cleaning (and Why You Should Too)

Why Do Expats in Manila Outsource their Condo and Office Cleaning (and Why You Should Too)

For decades, thousands of foreign expatriates have been visiting and living in the Philippines, owning condominium units, setting up offices and businesses, and spending most of their year here than their home country. If you have not noticed yet, most of them do not hire household helpers or cleaning staff at work, and instead outsource them from either acquaintances who know someone who can do it, or from professional cleaning service providers.

Need something cleaned?

Why do they do that? Simple answer: Value for their money

We, as Filipinos, know the value or the salary of a helper or a janitor per month, and thinking paying close to or more than that sum of money for a day’s work from a professional cleaning service provider seems absurd. But what these Expatriates see (that we don’t), is the value that you get.

  • Your home or office cleaned from top to bottom in just a day (not on a daily progress)
  • A professionally trained crew or team cleaning the place, all at the same time
  • You don’t need to worry about getting (or storing) the right (and large) equipment
  • You don’t need to worry about getting the right cleaning materials
  • You don’t need to worry about employee benefits, incentives and overtime fees, no liabilities after the work is done
  • Keeps your home private, and your office secured
  • You don’t need to worry where to board and lodge your helper

Since the rise of the condominium buildings, home and office space became smaller, and adding a non-income generating personnel might not be practical. With the latest events in the Philippines concerning labor and employment, just wages and demolishing contractualization practices are strongly being fought for. So don’t stress yourself with these issues and instead outsource your cleaning tasks from a professional cleaning service provider.

CMDA Condo & Office cleaning services and their crew are justly compensated in accordance to Philippine Labor Laws. All cleaning custodians sent to clean your home and office are regular employees, which are at the same time, trained to the highest cleaning standards.
